Rebecca Blume Rothman creates artwork that explores appearance modification, social interaction, and the environment using the body as a focus. Rather than anthropomorphizing animals, her works animalize human traits through drawing, sculpture, and performance. She lives with her husband, daughter, and their very large dog in the Sonoran desert.
